Privacy Policy

Effective September 19, 2026. Updated September 27, 2026 (property address on some lead forms, form-page measurement, the bsn_click cookie, deletion of lead copies).

This Privacy Policy explains how 1889 Advertising (“we,” “us”) of Springfield, Missouri collects, uses, and shares information when you visit 1889advertising.online, contact us, subscribe to a package, sign in to the client portal, or click a link in an advertisement we place.

Information We Collect

Information you give us

When you submit our inquiry form we collect your name, email address, phone number (optional), company, website, location, budget range, package interest, and message. We also store the consent statement you agreed to, the time you agreed, your IP address, and your browser type, so we can show that consent was given and protect the form from abuse.

Subscription and payment information

Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Stripe collects your payment details directly; we never see or store your full card number. We receive your name, email address, subscription status, and package so we can deliver your service and keep your portal access current.

Client portal

To sign in we use the email address you subscribed with. We email you a one-time code, which we store only in scrambled (hashed) form and which expires in 15 minutes. We set one session cookie so you stay signed in.

Advertising click and impression data

Advertisements we place for clients contain tracked links. When someone clicks a tracked link, or views a placement that carries our measurement beacon, we record: the time; which ad it was; the placement (for example, a social platform); the device type, operating system, and browser; the referring website; and an approximate location (city level) derived from the visitor’s network address. To count unique visitors, we combine the network address and browser details into an anonymous identifier that changes every day, so a visitor cannot be followed from one day to the next. We do not store the raw IP address of ad visitors. We also record the approximate distance between the visitor’s city and the advertiser, and how long after the post the click came. Each click gets a random click reference that is added to the advertiser’s web address, together with standard campaign tags, so the advertiser can tell which ad brought the visit. On a lead-form page we also record whether the page was viewed, whether the form was started, and whether it was left without being sent. Automated traffic, such as link-preview crawlers, scripts, repeated clicks and unusual bursts, is identified and excluded from client reporting.

Advertiser lead forms

Some ads lead to a short form on go.1889advertising.online that we host for one advertiser. If you fill it in we collect your name, email address, phone number (optional), message (optional) and, for some offers, a property address, the consent statement you ticked and the time you ticked it, and the approximate location, platform and ad described above. Your details go to that one advertiser, who contacts you about your request, and we email you a confirmation with an unsubscribe link. We never reuse your details for another advertiser, never combine them across advertisers, and never sell them. We do not send text messages from these forms.

Conversion reports from advertisers

An advertiser’s own website may tell us when a visit that started from one of our ads later became an inquiry, call, signup or purchase, using the click reference described above. We record only that reference, the kind of result and, if the advertiser sends it, an amount; we do not receive your name or contact details this way.

Website use

Our website is a standard WordPress site. Our hosting and security providers may process technical information such as IP address and request details to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

How We Use Information

  • To respond to inquiries and provide, schedule, and support advertising services.
  • To bill subscriptions and confirm your access to the client portal.
  • To measure and report advertising performance to the client who placed the ad.
  • To secure our systems, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with the law.
  • To contact you about your inquiry or subscription. We do not sell your personal information.

Who We Share It With

We share information only with service providers that help us operate: Stripe (payments), our email delivery provider, our hosting and content delivery providers, and our analytics storage. They may use the information only to provide services to us. Advertising performance data is shared with the client who placed the ad, in aggregated form (counts, cities, devices), not as information about identifiable individuals. The one exception is a lead form you fill in yourself: those details go to the advertiser named on the form, and only to them. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights and safety.

Retention

Inquiry records are kept until you ask us to delete them or they are no longer needed for our business or legal purposes. Subscription records are kept as long as needed for accounting and legal obligations. Raw advertising event data is retained for up to 25 months; aggregated reports may be kept longer. Lead-form submissions are deleted from our systems 13 months after they are sent, together with any copies in our own records, unless the request turned into business the advertiser is still handling (the advertiser keeps its own copy under its own policies). If you unsubscribe, we keep a record of that so you are not emailed again.

Our Links

Links 1889 Advertising posts about its own services on social media, in emails and in QR codes may also start with go.1889advertising.online. When you tap one, we record the tap and then send you on to the page. We record the time, which link, the site or app it came from, your browser and device type, and an approximate city worked out from your IP address. We do not store the IP address itself. Obvious bots are left out of our counts. We add tags to the page address (for example utm_source=threads) so we can see which posts bring visitors to us, and the same bsn_vid cookie described below tells a new visitor from a returning one. These records are about our own marketing, are kept apart from advertisers’ reports, are kept for up to 25 months, and are never sold.

Cookies

The client portal sets one essential session cookie. It is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.

If you reach our website from an ad we measure, the site sets one first-party cookie, bsn_click, for 30 days. It holds the random click reference described above so that, if you send us an inquiry, we can tell which ad brought you. It is not shared with anyone and does not identify you by name.

Our ad link service (go.1889advertising.online) sets one first-party cookie, bsn_vid, when someone clicks a tracked link. It holds a random value, lasts up to 13 months, and lets us count new versus returning visitors to an advertiser. We store only a scrambled (hashed) form of it, it is never shared with advertisers or other companies, and it is not used to track you across other websites. You can delete or block it in your browser settings at any time; the link still works without it.

Your Choices and Rights

You may ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you by emailing [email protected]. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, and we will honor requests as those laws require. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time by replying to the message or emailing us. Because ad visitor data is anonymous and not linked to a name or email, we generally cannot identify a specific visitor’s records; if you would like us to exclude your visits, contact us.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including access controls, encrypted connections, and separation of advertising analytics from account data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Children

Our services are for businesses and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

International Visitors

We are based in the United States and process information here. If you use our services from another country, you understand your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.

Changes

We may update this policy and will post the new version here with a new effective date.
